Her once vibrant life had been overshadowed by a persistent, excruciating low back pain that radiated down both legs, hindering her mobility and quality of life. The pain had intensified over time, making even simple tasks like standing a daunting challenge. Desperate for relief, she sought medical attention and eventually found herself in the care of <strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerspineindia.com\/dr-hitesh-garg-spine-surgeon-india.html\">Dr. Hitesh Garg, Head Ortho Spine Surgery<\/a><\/em><\/strong> at Artemis Hospitals, Gurgaon, India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Initial consultation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Upon her initial consultation, Dr. Hitesh Garg conducted a thorough physical examination and ordered an MRI scan. The imaging revealed a concerning diagnosis: Lumbar canal stenosis at the<strong> L4-L5 and L5-S1 <\/strong>along with spinal instability. This condition meant that the spinal canal, where the nerves pass through, was narrowing, compressing the nerves and causing the severe pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Given the severity of Mrs. Ibrahim&#8217;s condition and the limitations it imposed on her daily life, Dr. Garg recommended her for <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerspineindia.com\/transforaminal-lumbar-interbody-fusion-tlif-back-surgery.html\">Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion (TLIF) surgery<\/a><\/strong> at the affected levels. TLIF is a minimally invasive surgical procedure that involves removing the damaged disc and replacing it with a bone graft and a cage.
